A series of suspicious death cases take place. All the victims were terminal patients. Detective Hayato Inukai (Gou Ayano) and Detective Asuka Takachiho (Keiko Kitagawa) investigate the case. Through their investigation, they learn of a person known as "Dr. Death." He performs euthanasia by request. Meanwhile, Detective Hayato Inukai’s daughter Sayaka requests the help of Dr. Death. Sayaka suffers from a severe kidney disease.
Teacher Shinkai Kazuma is someone who isn't good at swordsmanship but secretly devotes himself to the research of youkai. One day, he catches Hina, his student, talking to a strange piece of pottery in an abandoned house. A youkai suddenly appears and Hina wishes to meet her dead mother so she can apologize to her. Kazuma and the youkai work together to fulfil her wish.
Kanami (Satomi Kobayashi) is a TV director. Her pet Natsu recently died due to a disease. Kanami begins to shoot a film about dogs after her movie director friend suggests the idea. For her movie, she visits an animal shelter and a shelter for dogs rescued from the area around Fukushima. She is touched by the people who work diligently to save the animals.

10 high school students including Yuka Kabayama are suddenly led to a room and must play the jinrou game. Yuka Kabayama has the jinrou card. She has to hide that fact and kill the players who have the citizens cards one by one. Yuka Kabayama gets excited by her situation.

Their relationship though becomes shaken by the presence of Namie (Yukie Kawamura). Namie is an ex-novelist and works as a librarian.
