The works of Marcel Pagnol are a veritable monument of French cultural heritage. Raimu was the stage name for the French actor Jules Auguste Muraire (18 December 1883 – 20 September 1946). He is most famous for playing César in the Marseilles trilogy (Marius, Fanny and César).
